Podcast «Biblioroute»

«Biblioroute» is a podcast of the Tomsk Big University libraries devoted to the life of students from the 19^th century to the present. In it, personal stories build up a general history of the university Tomsk. The focus of attention and curiosity is on roads, buildings, books, people, memoirs and legends.

Each podcast episode is a new warm story about people and events, about how closely the life of the city and its universities are intertwined. They contain not only interesting facts, but also funny moments, unexpected turns, as well as book recommendations. More often, these are the memoirs of students and university staff of different years.

The podcast «Biblioroute» was launched in October 2022. The first two episodes are about how the students of the Imperial Tomsk University got to the place and settled in the city back in 1888. The next ones are devoted to the outstanding professors and students.

The podcast «Biblioroute» is a part of the same-name project of the Tomsk Big University libraries. In 2019, the first event of the project was a bus quest among TSU, TPU, and SSMU libraries that attracted hundreds of the participants of the «Library Night». In 2021, the university libraries connected university and city attractions on Yandex Maps into one single route that anyone can take independently. It is these points on the map that the podcast episodes are devoted to.
