Full texts of bachelor’s, master’s, specialist’s, postgraduate final qualification theses (henceforth FQT)/scientific reports are placed in the TSU E-library (repository).

FQT files are uploaded by students and postgraduates on their own under the following conditions.

A student:

  1. Addresses designated staff members at their faculty or a librarian at the Research Commons (TSU Research Library) for checking the FQT text for plagiarism using Antiplagiat.Vuz web-service;

2. Saves the file of a brief report (downloaded by a designated staff member) stating that the FQT text has been checked;

3. Scans the title page with all the signatures necessary to confirm their eligibility to defend the FQT;

4. Combines the title page, FQT text* and the report about checking the FQT for plagiarism into one single file. Links to the services for merging PDF files

*Note: the decision on the volume of published FQT text which contains non-public information (omitting certain chapters or providing an extended abstract) is made by the head of the Main Educational Program (MEP). If the FQT text is uploaded abridged, a scanned document (in free form) confirming this decision with the signature of the MEP head must be included in the FQT file.

5. Uploads the file (no later than 2 days before the defense) in TSU e-library (repository) through the Web-form. Instructions. Checklist for uploading theses to the TSU E-library

The uploaded FQT file can be replaced by the department of Digital Library upon official notice from the secretary of State Examination Board sent at vkr@lib.tsu.ru with the new version of the file attached.

In general, while formatting the thesis, one should rely upon recommendations on bibliographic description of a document. Find title page templates here.

After being uploaded, the FQT file undergoes editorial review and appears in the TSU E-library (repository) within one business day*.

       *Note: During peak periods, it may take up to 2 business days for a thesis to appear in the TSU E-library (repository).

The texts of final qualification theses are stored on an open source website under the following orders by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation:

• of 29 June 2015 № 636 «On establishing the procedure for the final state certification on academic programs of higher education – bachelor’s, specialist’s and master’s degree programs» (as amended on March 27, 2020);
• of 18 March 2016 № 227 «On establishing the procedure for the final state certification on academic programs of higher education – postgraduate (postgraduate military) academic and teaching staff training programs, medical residency programs, assistantship programs».
